A fashion intermission

akilanajmahDuring Ramadan, I'm going to seriously try to write here daily. Something... some reflection, some interesting experience, something.
What have I been doing? Prepping for Ramadan. I'm doing this workshop which has been talking a fair amount about controlling the limbs-- the eyes, the ears, the tongue, the hands and the feet.
Also, I started working with a Muslim focused non-profit that is going to try to force me to overcome my social awkwardness. I met a man there, Nizar, a Kurdish guy from Iraq, who really blew my mind. Alhamdulillah for him and for his desire to serve others, even with so much on his plate. I've been praying for him. I only met him for a few hours but my gut says that he's a good dude.
Anywho! I can be bothered to post some fashuns. Yay!
Hijabi hipster-- I keep thinking about those snoods... but I'm afraid my hair would inflate them like a balloon.
If I did the hijab + stripes thing, I'd feel matchy matchy, but it looks cute on her.
So, the thing I take from all these very fashionable sisters is jackets (yay!), bags (boo!) and accesories (which I've never been able to figure out one way or another).
Maybe I'll post a photo daily of what I'm wearing? IDK.
